TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. General Terms
- Pricing: All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.
- Age Verification: You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
- Order Confirmation: By placing an order, you confirm that you are purchasing the books in your cart for personal use only and request Guildford Book Exchange to process the payment. If you choose to cancel your order please contact the store within 1 day of placing the order. After this period, the sale is final unless an alternative arrangement is arranged and agreed upon.
- Product Descriptions: We strive to describe products as accurately as possible. If the description does not match the product upon delivery, please contact us within 2 days to resolve the issue. Claims made after this period will be considered final.
- Refusal of Sale: We as the seller have the right to refuse or terminate a sale at any time in which you will be notified by email and a full refund given. We are not obliged to give reason or explain why the sale has been cancelled, but reasons may range from purchasers fraudulent activity to the product been unavailable at the time of purchase.
1b. Changes to Orders
- Adding Items: You can add items to your order within 1 business day of placing it. We are unable to combine orders or make changes after this period.
2. Item Guarantee
- Returns and Store Credit: We offer online store credit for returns of items shipped to Australian addresses, provided the return is approved and the item is returned in its original condition. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless alternative arrangements are agreed upon. This guarantee does not apply to international orders, firm sale items, or orders with extra discounts. Damaged items must be reported within 2 days of delivery so arrangement for credit/return or refunds can be arranged.
3. Pricing
- Price Adjustments: Prices may vary based on availability. If we cannot fulfill an order at the advertised price, we will offer a refund. For items incorrectly priced, we will notify you of the revised price or issue a refund if the incorrect price was charged. You have 48 hours to respond to pricing changes; otherwise, a new order will be required.
4. Audio & Visual Policy
- No Returns: Sales of items other than books, such as digital items or records are final. No returns or refunds are accepted unless the item is faulty or damaged upon arrival. Ensure compatibility with your equipment as regional codes may vary.
5. Delivery Expectations
- Processing Time: Orders are processed within 1-7 business days of receiving payment. Delivery times vary based on carrier and location. You will receive an email once your order has been processed and dispatched. For self-collection, items must be picked up during trading hours.
- Tracking: We will provide tracking numbers and carrier information where possible. Please ensure your contact details are correct to avoid delivery issues.
6. Insufficient/Incorrect Delivery Information
- Address Errors: Any issues with incorrect or insufficient address details may result in delayed delivery or returned packages. If the error is on our part, we will cover the cost of re-sending the package. For customer errors, any additional charges will be the customer’s responsibility.
7.Payment Terms
- Bank Transfers: Orders paid by bank transfer will not be processed until the payment has been received. An order number will be created at checkout time.
- Stripe Payments: Payments made via Stripe will be processed immediately upon checkout. If there are any issues with processing your payment, you will be contacted to resolve them. Failure to address payment issues may result in order cancellation.
8. Credit Card Charging
- Payment Processing: If any issues arise when the payment has been received we will contact you immediately.
9. Overseas Orders
- International Shipping: Orders with international delivery addresses are final sale. Any extra charges for import taxes or customs duties are the customer’s responsibility. We will inform you of these charges before processing your order.
10. Completion of an Order
An order is considered complete when:
- All items are delivered.
- The order is cancelled.
- Payment via cheque, money order, or bank transfer is not received within 30 days.
- Some items are cancelled due to unavailability.
11. Privacy Policy
Guildford Book Exchange PTY Ltd keeps all personal information confidential and secure. Your information will only be used to process your orders and will not be shared with third parties, except for necessary delivery purposes and payment providers.
